We believe in:

1. The supremacy of the Holy scriptures, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and absolutely authoritative in all matters relating to the universe, planet Earth, and man’s existence therein.

2. One God, eternally existent, the Omnipotent and Omniscient creator of everything seen and unseen, material and non-material;

-Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh — His virgin birth, His sinless earthly life, His Divine miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His mediatoral work, and his imminent personal return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead;

-The Holy Spirit — the creator of life, the general manager of the church, our Guide, Teacher, Comforter…In Him, the believer is enabled to work and witness for the Lord Jesus, as well as live a holy and fruitful life.

3. The truth of the Original Sin by the first Adam, and Salvation by grace through the propitious and redemptive work of the last Adam (Gen 3: 1 — 24; Rom 3: 23 — 25; 1 Cor 15: 21 — 22).

4. The reality of Heaven and Hell and Eternal Judgement ( 2 Cor 5 :10 —11; Rom 14 : 12; Rev 20:11-15). Also the Rapture of the saints , the Millennium reign of Christ etc.

5. Water Baptism of repented adults by immersion;

-Baptism is correctly by immersion in water as, opposed to sprinkling (Matt 3: 13, 16; Acts 8: 34-39)

-Only adults that have believed, confessed the Lord Jesus Christ qualify for baptism. Baptism of infants, even if not sinful, is improper and ineffectual (Acts 2:38; 18: 8; 22: 16).

-Repented adults could be baptised by any disciple(s). It is not the sole prerogative of any ministerial office of the church to do so.

6. Baptism in the Holy spirit , with or without evidence of speaking in tongues

7. Gifts of the holy spirit and exercise thereof in line with the scriptures.

8. Restitution (as may be prompted of the repented sinner by the Holy spirit and guided by Him).

9. The Lords supper, as practised by the early church in breaking of bread; (Math 26: 26; Acts 2: 42; 20: 7).

10. Daily manifestation of true christian character — As important as the Gifts of the Holy spirit are to the believer, christian character is even more important. The empty religion of today emphasizes the former but is almost totally bereft of the latter. Many a church person today lives a life in the flesh that can never please God (Rom 8:5). They pursue after the vanity of miracles and unbridded materialism. They cheat, lie and deceive. They live the law of the jungle and thus trample upon the poor and helpless, the hardest-hit of contemporary harsh society. At GLOMF we endeavour to live out the christian character. We believe that the believer must go back to being the salt and light of todfay’s tasteless and dark society. And we emphasize this in our regular discipleship teachings.
